Five questions before you commit to a karaoke room

A low headline price can describe a short weekday package rather than your whole evening. Compare the same room, group, duration and inclusions before deciding.

Ask for a written total

1. Is the amount per room, per person or for a specific package? A map average with no stated unit cannot answer this.
2. Which date, arrival time and duration does it cover? Ask what an extra hour costs.
3. Are minimum spend, drinks, food and service charges included? Separate optional purchases from compulsory charges.
4. What room size and group limit apply? Do not assume a package suits a larger party.
5. What deposit and cancellation conditions apply? A request is not a confirmed reservation.

A simple message you can copy

Please confirm the final total for [date], [time], [guests] people and [duration] hours. Include room fee, minimum spend and compulsory service charges, and tell us the cancellation terms.

Keep a way-home plan

Save your hotel address in Chinese, check the last transit service, and budget for a lawful taxi or licensed ride. Late venue hours do not imply the metro is still operating.
